about the Camaro Nationals
Is there room to park my car trailer and truck?
Frederick Fairgounds has a large area for parking trucks and trailers (they can remain connected). You can reserve a spot by filling out the info on the registration form, or you can arrange for a spot at the gate.
Can I let my Camaro on the show field overnight?
Yes, Camaros can be kept on the show field overnight.....the grounds are fenced, gated, and guarded. Although there are usually a few dozen cars covered up for the evening on the showfield, most are driven back to the motels
When do I need to arrive?
Saturday is pretty much a must for everyone. All judging in participant vote and Heartbeat Classes gets started around 11AM. If you are registering in the Bow Tie class, it is advisable to arrive by mid-day Friday. For the Legend and Vintage Classes, you will NEED to be on grounds Friday morning
Do I have to Pre-Register?
No......but day of show entrys will only have the choice of non - judged or Participant Vote judged Classes. Points Judged classes are limited to pre-registered cars. This is due to the required planning, and arranging for the proper judges being available.
What if I don't want to have my Camaro judged?
No problem! There will be over 100 Camaros at the Nationals that will not be judged.....mine included. There is no stygma associated with just wanting to have fun.
Can I get a copy of my score sheet if my car is judged?
Legend, Vintage, and BowTie judging sheets are mailed out automatically after the show. If you are in a Heartbeat class and want your sheet; mail a self addressed stamped envelope along with a dollar, your car # and class #, to the club address after the show. Requests will be accepted until September 1st of the same year, and mailed out after August 1st.
If I leave before the Awards Ceremony, and I win an award, how can I get it?
If you don't have a friend that can pick it up for you, we can arrange to have it mailed. Mail a check for $10.....to cover packing and postage, your car # and class #, to the club address after the show. Requests will be accepted until September 1st of the same year, and mailed out after July 15th. You can check the winners list on the website to see the results of the judging. This list is posted until October of the same year.
Can I sleep on the showfield in my tent?
No.....but there is a camping area inside the fairgrounds near the showfield. Many registrants will be found in the camping area having a great time (i.e. NastyZ/28.com club). Camping can be arranged for on the registration form. Only registered cars are permitted to camp on grounds.
How big is the show, Really???
This really has been the largest Camaro show we know of for the last seveal years. You can expect over 500 Camaros on grounds. We offer 48 Classes in 9 Levels .......from non-judged to concours, Door Prizes, offering Fun for the Whole Family. Even a petting zoo and moon bounce for the kids.
